Hi ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wow what a GREAT start to 2013. We started back training on Thursday 3rd January. Then came the fast growth into the club with NEW students, and you ALL met my Cousin JP and his lovely Girlfriend, who decided to give us a quick visit while they were over to see family and friends, on their festive break and holiday. Hopefully will be seeing them soon again, preferably before they go back to do the awesome job they are doing in Columbia. Also this month saw us Opening our FIRST Tournament Training Class on a Saturday at 14:00-16:00 this class may and is looking like it will become a Permanent class to hone our skills for Tournaments not just within the E.K.O.
So Our class Times Are now as Follows:
Tuesdays ------- 18:00-19:20
Thursdays ------ 18:15-20:15
Saturdays ------- 14:00-16:00 (Tournament Training)
Things To Look FORWARD To:
February will see the First Grading of 2013 with our friends coming over from Sheffield From Taijutsudo Karate and Rob Sensei, helping on the grading panel and helping out at the Grading. This is one of Daniel Sensei's fellow friends and Martial Artists. Also in February on Sunday 24th we have a FANTASTIC opportunity to Train with GM Angelo Baldissone The Founder and Chief Instructor of Abaniko Tres Puntas UK also a Good Friend with Daniel Sensei, also to meet and make more friends who all have the same thing in common as you , Passion for what they do and to improve their Skills and Knowledge in the Martial Arts.
GRADING
Saturday 2nd February at 14:00-17:00
This will be a OPEN grading so like the last one if you are not being Grading you are still welcome to come along and Train for a Training Fee of Just £5.

GOOD BYE a GREAT 2012 and Bring on A FANTASTICLY AWESOMINSPIRING 2013
Wow a GREAT year we have had from ALL at Cougar Ki Martial Arts we would like to wish you a Fantastic, Healthy, Prosperous and Successful New Year and 2013!
We will be resuming training on Thursday 3rd January 2013 at the NEW!! Time of 18:00-20:00
Also This year is going to see some GREAT!! Changes and more Awesome Courses I am already aware of some planned from May-Oct 2013 But before anything I will say this:
TO ALL STUDENTS WISH TO TAKE PART IN THE E.K.O CHAMPIONSHIPS IN MARCH NOW!!! IS THE TIME TO PRACTICE TRAIN TRAIN HARD AND GET SERIOUS ABOUT BEING A CHAMP NOT A CHuMP!!
To help prepair for this We and you WILL!! Be running some Saturday Training focussing on Tournament Tactics for both KATA and KUMITE!! Watch this space and Listern out in Class!!

END OF 2012
Well today 20th December marked the last training session of 2012 for Cougar Ki Martial Arts and saw us Train for 2 hours and it was AWESOME. We Also had a Presentation where the fallowing were Awarded:

What a year we have had so, we've had a busy one with making new connections. Trainiing, Grading, and having fun. Now we are coming upto the end of what I would say has been a productive year for the club. We are now saying good bye to 2012 soon and BRING IT ON to 2013.
So whats going to happen in 2013, Put simply ALOT!!! Our last class of 2012 will be on Thursday 20th at 18:30-20:30 and believe me when I say there is a reason WHY this is a 2 Hour class!
1) Would be its our last class for 2012
2) Would be its also going to be a AWARDS!!!!!! night. With Awards for Senior Student of the YEAR being presented, Junior Student of The Year being Presented, and Student of the Month for December 2012. (plese note the student of the month Trophy is to be rotated so is not for keeps and the preveious student of the month is to Pass it onto the new Student of The Month or Retain it if they are Student of The Month AGAIN). And finally
3) In 2013 The THURSDAY class will become a 2 HOUR class, Starting AT 18:00-20:00
BIG things are planned for 2013. In Febuary we will be holding our FIRST Grading of 2013 so PRACTISE PRACTISE and PRACTISE and TRAIN HARD. Also why not ask Sensei What you need to improve on to help you towards your next grade. DO NOT ask or Push for grading this is BAD Etiquette.
ALSO!!! in MARCH we will be COMPITING in our FIRST EVER!!! Championships The European and English Karate Organisation Championships where ant titles won are EUROPEAN TITLES !!!
Also in the Summer there is a Oppertunity for you and your family to have a holiday in the New Forest, and to Train in Abaniko Tres Putas, The classical art of Philipino Arnes (stick fighting), with instructors such as GM Angilo (founder and chief instructor of Abaniko Tres Puntas UK) and featured in Martial Arts Illustrated Magazing January issue. Also some Grand Masters from the Philipines such GM Rene Tongson who is a Student of the founder of This Awsome Philipino style.
And as Always there will be plenty of seminars and workshops through out the year. And oppertunities to make new friends who also share passion for Martial Arts, as well as Training with some friends of the club, such as The Chief Instructor and Founder of Taijutsudo Karate Sensei Rob Brown (4th Dan) and other friends such as GM Bob Carruthers (one of sensei's new instructors), Rensei Reiner Parsons (7th dan Goju) and Sensei's Friend from Manchester Sensei Simon Keegan. Plus loads more masters and instructors just WATCH THIS SPACE 2013 is going to go BOOOOOOOOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow What a Year So Far:
Wow well this year has been busy, busy busy. Sensei Dan graded to Sandan (3Rd Dan) plenty of seminars, Meeting some AWESOME KARATE-KA and Martial Artists and building up some great connections.
Things to Look Forward TO:
More club growth. Also in March we will be entering our FIRST EVER Tournment as a club by competing in The European Karate Organisation Championships in March, what a exciting time this is going to be. Plenty of training to be done from now till then.
THE LAST CLASS OF 2012:
This will be held on THURSDAY 20th December.
and Classes will resume again on
TUESDAY 3rd JANUARY.
Also in the New Year we will be having a couple of Tournment training days over a weekend.
ALSO other things to look forward to will be seminars held at OUR Dojo, things such as Workshops, and Training Courses in Abaniko Tres Puntas (Classical Art of Philipino Arnes).
